Xue Dong Zhang, alias Ming De Zhang, another name Diao Chong (craftsman), well known as ‘Master of Signet’, Male, Han Nationality.

Born in March 1964, Bachelor Degree, Director and Master of ‘Arts & Crafts Of Ji Lin’, Senior member of ‘Arts & Crafts OfChina’, studied calligraphy, seal cutting from childhood. Being an apprentice of Master Yi Wei Ye & Zheng Yu, who are from ‘Xi Ling Signet Association’. Signet style is close to Qin & Han dynasty, signature of signet style is close to Fu An Wang & Chang Shuo Wu. Master Zhang spends most of his time in studying Seal Cutting, Micro Cutting, Carving, those kinds of arts and crafts creation in recent years. In addition, based on traditional foundation as well as self development and continues exploration, Master Zhang invents a Flat Cutting Micro Carving skill finally, which breaks the history that Micro carving is dominated by Awl Cutting. This Flat Cutting skill has fulfilled the blank of Micro Carving territory. Every single word presents neat and tidy, vivid and clear under magnifying glass, which also has a calligraphy and sculpture carving quality.

Master Zhang’s Micro Carving works have been a huge collection by the governors and arts collectors fromSoutheast Asia. In particular, his work ‘The Diamond Sutra’ and ‘Shurangama Mantra’ both win Excellence Awards with Tian Gong Prize of 2015 China Jade Carving & Stone Carving words Awards Ceremony. His work ‘Dao De Jing’ has been selected as one of the collections in ‘China Arts & Crafts Collection’ under Chapter Ji Lin.

张学东，字明德，号雕虫，别署百印堂主，男，汉族，1964年3月生于吉林省辉南县，大学学历，现为吉林省工艺美术协会理事、中国工艺美术协会高级会员、吉林省工艺美术大师。自幼学习书法、篆刻，九十年代初，曾拜师于西泠印社，先后得到叶一苇大师、余正先生指点，印风直追秦汉。篆刻边款专学王福庵、吴昌硕。数年来，利用一切可利用的时间，集中精力从事篆刻、微刻、雕刻等艺术创作。在继承传统的基础上，经过不断探索实践，独创出一套平刀微刻技法，从而改写了锥刀独霸微刻领域的历史，填补了微刻艺术领域的一项空白。微刻作品整体镜下观察规矩整齐、干净利落、笔笔不苟、字字清晰。颇具书法、碑刻的韵味。微刻作品曾被东南亚国家和地区的官员及艺术爱好者收藏。作品《金刚经》、《楞严咒》分别获中国玉雕最高奖项----第十四届“天工奖”优秀作品奖。作品《道德经》入编《中国工艺美术全集》吉林卷。
