Chai Xiujian, stage name, diligent in farming. Born in September 1968, Chai Village, Shantang Town, Jun County. Graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Qingdao Oriental University of Arts in Shandong Province in 1990. I am currently a member of the Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association and the Chinese Artists Association. Member of the Folk Arts and Crafts Professional Committee of the Chinese Arts and Crafts Society. Art consultant of the Art Committee of China Intangible Cultural Heritage Magazine. Member of Henan Folk Literature and Art Association. Member of Henan Arts and Crafts Industry Association. Executive Vice President of Jun County Folk Culture and Art Association.
Mr. Chai Xiujian has had a passion for art since childhood and has been influenced by folk art. Research and create clay sculpture art all year round, go deep into the folk, make friends with folk artists, and absorb their art essence. His lion and mud horse creations have both their own style and traditional characteristics. He combined the sculpture styles of Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties with the clay sculpture art of Jun County, blending the colors of Qin and Han lacquerware with the colors of Ming Dynasty porcelain, making the clay sculpture works more antique in color and particularly strong in local style. Many of his works have been exhibited in countries such as Singapore, Germany, and the United States. The works are collected by provincial, municipal, and national art museums in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Russia, Japan, and the National Museum of Arts and Crafts of China. In May 2004, the artwork "Ni Gu Gu Combination" won the Newcomer New Work Award at the 4th Folk Arts and Crafts Expo in Henan Province. In August 2006, the artwork "Lion" won the silver award at the 2nd China Folk Arts and Crafts Expo held at the Beijing International Exhibition Center. December 2007. The work 'Lion Stepping on Embroidered Ball' was awarded the title of Famous Cultural Product in Henan Province by the Henan Provincial Department of Culture. In January 2008, the work "Lion Rolling Rust Ball" was awarded the Golden Eagle Award by the World Folk Literature and Art Association. And was awarded the title of Lifetime Achievement Award. June 2008. Approved by the Henan Provincial Department of Culture as one of the first provincial-level inheritors of intangible cultural heritage projects in Henan Province. In October 2008, the "Chinese Traditional Arts and Crafts Boutique Exhibition" held at the Beijing Ethnic Culture Palace won the "Bronze Award" for its work "Lion Stepping on Rusty Balls and Mud Gougu", which was also collected by the China National Arts and Crafts Museum. October 2009. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Cultural Promotion Association held a tour exhibition of China's intangible cultural heritage (Shanghai), and the work "Living Lion" won the first prize. 柴秀建,艺名,勤耕。1968年9月出生, 浚县善堂镇柴村。1990年毕业于山东省青岛东方艺术大学国画系。现为中国民间文艺家协会会员,中国艺术家协会会员。中国工艺美术学会民间工艺美术专业委员会会员。中国非物质文化遗产杂志艺术委员会艺术顾问。河南省民间文艺家协会会员。河南省工艺美术行业协会会员。浚县民俗文化艺术协会常务副会长。
柴秀建先生,自幼酷爱美术,受民间艺术熏陶。常年研究和创作泥塑艺术,深入民间,与民间艺人交朋友,吸取他们的艺术精华。他创作的狮子、泥马既有自己的风格,又有传统的特色。他把秦汉唐雕塑造型与浚县的泥塑艺术结合起来,色彩上将秦、汉漆器色彩和明代瓷器色彩相融合,使泥塑作品色彩更加古朴,地方风格特别浓厚。他创作的多件作品在新加坡、德国、美国等国家展出。作品有台湾、香港、俄罗斯、日本、中国工艺美术馆 等省、市、国家艺术馆收藏。CCTV-2、 CCTV-4、 CCTV-9、北京卫视、山东卫视、合肥卫枧、江苏卫视。新华社《中国日报》、 《中国文化报海外报刊》、《中国民族报》 、《北京日报》 等数十家媒体作过报道。
2004年5月,在河南省第四届民间工艺美术博览会作品《泥咕咕组合》荣获新人新作奖。2006年8月, 在北京国际展览中心第二届中国民间工艺美术博览会作品《狮子》荣获银奖。2007年12月。 作品《狮子踩绣球》被河南省文化厅授予河南省知名文化产品称号。2008年1月,作品《狮子滚锈球》被世界民间文艺家协会授予金飞鹰奖。并荣获终身成就奖荣誊称号。2008年6月。被河南省文化厅批准为河南省首批非物质文化遗产省级项目传承人。2008年10月 ,在北京民族文化宫举办的“中国传统工艺美术精品大展”作品《狮子踩锈球泥咕咕》荣获“铜奖”,作品并被中国工艺美术馆收藏。2009年10月。庆祝建国六十周年中华文化促进会举办中国非物质文化遗产巡展(上海)作品《活头狮子》荣获一等奖。2010年3月。被中国国学研究会授予“中华国学文化艺术大使”称号。2011年3月 ,被中国国家书画院委任中国国家书画院副院长职务。2024年CCTV央视《艺术名家》栏目组特聘客座教授。
