Liu Ying was born in Yunxiao County, Zhangzhou, Fujian, and is a member of Yunxiao County artists association.
She is now studying in Chongqing College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in painting and oil painting. She studied with Zeng Hao. She specializes in Chinese painting, flower and bird painting, oil painting, printmaking and so on. From childhood, painting talent, surrounded by a strong atmosphere of art, in the ears of various teachers melt eyes, can get a pen painting. 刘颖出生于福建漳州云霄县，云霄县美术家协会会员。
现就读于重庆人文科技学院，美术学油画系，师从曾浩。擅长国画花鸟，油画，版画等。从小有绘画天赋，身边美术氛围浓厚，在各种名师的耳融目染下，能自己拿笔绘画。最喜爱画家顾恺之，因其作画注重眼神刻画，与自己对画的理解颇为相似，只有神情刻画到位，整个画面才能活灵活现起来。
