何明耀：字明之，号雁荡山人，祖籍浙江温州，1954年生于南京，自幼爱好书画，中学时跟随金陵画坛前辈徐道之、董伯先生学习水墨画，向陈慎之先生学习书法。后师从南京艺术学院资深教授刘汝醴先生，为美术大师徐悲鸿先生再传弟子。其间还得到陆俨少和亚明等名师指点。

既描写古今人物和工写翎毛花卉，而尤擅长写意山水。何明耀山水画中的两大特点是：再高山的树林山石之上，白云流动，漂浮的云朵于散游蒙蒙烟霞，借着墨色的渲染或简笔的推移，呈现出令人心旷神怡的景致。他画那峰树间游荡的烟云，只见白云缥缈，以烟云的流动衬托不动的青山，更画出了山的雄浑于沉厚;他画的苍松，虬枝翠盖而富天地之生气，舒展劲键尔多造化之奇趣。他重视表现山石的肌理，在满实的构图间留以白色的气眼，对比鲜明而气韵生动，画画上鼓荡着一股豪迈之气，近乎达到了“山性即我性，山情即我情”的境界。我们可以从中感受到画家的创作状态与精神气象，更能感受到画者的胸襟性情。他画的每一幅画，从构图、造型都没有重复，画中体现了青山渗入的无穷韵致，更体现了画家之深厚的艺术造诣。

He Mingyao, who has an alias Mingzhi or Hermit of Yandang, is of the descent Wenzhou ,Zhejiang, China.  He was born in1954 inNanjing ,and felt in deep love with painting and calligraphy.In middle school, he learned Chinese painting from Xu Daozhi, Mr. Dong Bo, calligraphy from Mr. Chen Shenzhi, who were all masters in the field in Jinling. Later, he became a student of Liu Ruli, a senior professor from Nanjing Arts Institute, and he was also a disciple of Mr. Xu Beihong, a fine art master.  During that period , guides given by luyanshao and Ya Ming mattered much .

He is talented in representating ancient and modern characters and claborate-style painting of  birds and flowers, especially expert at freehand landscapes. Two features of He Mingyao's landscape paintings are as followes: floating clouds scatter to swim through the trees , the rocks and misty haze. With the rendering of paints and the displacement of simple drawings, a breathtaking scenery is brought to life .

He paints clouds wandering through the peak trees and the whites misty clouds come onto the paper and into our eyes, whose flowing features sets off the motionlessness of mountains, highlighting their forceful and profound images; he paints twisted branches and emerald green cover of pines which are abundant in the vitality of nature.

He focuses on rocks in texture, with blanks remaining between compositions of a picture, presenting distinct contrast and vivid artistic conception and there exists an air of being bold and generous and reaching a realm where the dispositions and emotions of the mountains are consistent with mine.

 We can feel the painter's creative state and spiritual atmosphere, and what’s more, we can feel the painter's mind and temperament. The compositions and designs of his painting are not repeated, and the paintings reflect not only endless lingering charm of integrating with green mountains.but also the artist's profound artistic attainments.

He is a member of the United Nations Asia culture Federation and vice president of Macao International Artists Association
