       高卫东,1963年出生于北京,现为北京市书法家协会理事、中国书画家协会理事、北京政协书画院书画家、紫荆书画院组院长、北京释竹文化艺术研究院副院长、山东省临清市文化艺术顾问、青岛金石书画院艺术顾问、中国公共关系协会艺术委员会委员、民革北京中山书画社社员。 
书法学习先后师从著名书法家启功、王之麟、田伯平,四十余年来潜心书法碑帖的研习。从唐人正楷入手,多年临习颜真卿《颜勤礼碑》、欧阳询《九成宫醴泉铭》、《张猛龙碑》,打下了良好的基础,即而临习王羲之《兰亭集序》、《宋拓怀仁集王羲之圣教序》、《王羲之传本墨迹》、《十七帖》和孙过庭《书谱》,形成了行书稳重中见飘逸,雄强中见秀美;草书点画使转纵横和谐且富于变化的书法风格。作品参加了北京市文学和艺术界联合会主办的首都艺术家红色之旅采风团庆祝抗日战争胜利六十周年“铭记历史,珍爱和平”作品展、日本东京都中野区举办的中国书画展、第二十三届中日友好书法交流展、纪念朱德诞辰120周年书画大展并获好评。其书法在中国当代书画艺术英才作品展中被评为优秀作品;作品在《北京日报》、《天伦度假》、《都市天地》、《二十一世纪教育》、《亚洲论坛》发表并被北京日报社、北京市第六届图书节组委会、北京奥运书画徽集活动组委会等收藏,作品入展《圣火传递颂》并由中国集邮总公司发行首日封,《大众科技报—创新时代周刊》对他进行了整版报道。他热爱公益事业,参与了北京市文联“首都文艺家抗震救灾献爱心作品义卖和中国残联“牵手同心”迎特奥书画捐赠、“和谐文明社区暨北川茶京城感恩”书画捐赠等公益活动。他认为:书法应该遵循传统、重视法度,学习书法应该象米芾一样,遍临古代名家之作,师古不泥,师古而化,才能集腋成裘,以达到书法艺术的颠峰。其简单道理是:每一个人学习方法、侧重点、习惯都不一样,虽然学习同一家之作,但临习结果却各自不同,均带有自身的特点,转移多师,汲取古代书家众家之长,形成自己的风格是水到渠成的事情。
