陈建新，出生于1959年8月18日，浙江省瑞安市人。1987年毕业于浙江农业大学农经系(现为浙江大学)，毕业后一直从事政府行政部门领导工作，1996年辞职下海从事房地产开发至今。在读大学期间拜当代书法大师马世晓先生为师，收为入室弟子，接受正规学习训练，修习柳公权，欧阳询，颜真卿，王羲之，智永，米蒂等名家书帖。1987年荣获浙江省大学生书画大赛书法二等奖，国画三等奖。毕业后虽然没有从事专业艺术工作，但是由于本人酷爱书法艺术和马老师的督促，三十年来一直没有放弃对书法艺术的追求，潜心书法研究，并少有成效，现为北京人和书画院院士。志在继承传统，弘扬国粹，使汉字书写艺术在年青一代发扬光大。

He aims to inherit the tradition and carry forward the quintessence of Chinese culture, so that the art of Chinese characters will flourish in the younger generation.
